Through his many construction projects, Mr. Tampa gained valuable experience in all levels of hotel construction, gained insight into the hospitality business, and formed long lasting relationships with some of the best partners in the hospitality community Marriott International, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Hilton Hotels winning several awards and developer of the year for 2009. In 2020 he receives tourism Governor’s award for the state of Alabama . It is Mr. Tampa’s unwavering commitment to excellence that propels Ascent Hospitality. He has had significant involvement with Ascent’s overall business development strategy, and its rapid growth result in one of the best hospitality companies in the country. He is committed to fostering an entrepreneurial business culture that promotes integrity, ambition, innovation, desire, diversity and passion for customer service. John Tampa has over 24 years of experience in hospitality construction, development, and management. Mr. Tampa’s vision, focus, and determination to succeed come from the discipline of being a former athlete. He won several national championships, Balcanic and was a member of the Romanian Ski Biathlon/Cross Country Team for World, European competitions.
